On a beautiful fall day on October 26, we worked alongside 25 volunteers to green (and brown) our 3 squares of Jackson, Hyde, and Canary with fresh mulch, daffodil bulbs, perennial plants, soil, and more mulch. Jackson Square received 450 daffodil bulbs in front of the Welcome Mural to come up strong in the spring, Mozart Park received perennials and decorative fall accoutrements such as pumpkins and hay bales, Canary Square received a pumpkin, and the entire corridor from Jackson to Canary received fresh mulch on 90 street tree wells.

We were grateful that everyone pitched in and took pride in their work. After all the physical work, we were able to restore ourselves by a community lunch at Latino Restaurant. We are appreciative of the love that everyone gave to the neighborhood and can't wait to do this again in April.
